In the cumulative period from January to February , the industry produced 625,774 units , a figure that implied a slight reduction of 0.6% compared to the same period of the previous year, although it was the sixth best historical result for a first two-month period.

Industry remains relevant in the manufacturing economy

The report confirms the importance of the Mexican automotive industry as one of the main drivers of the country's manufacturing sector and foreign trade.
